What’s the Big Talk about this OCYC competition?
Calling all creative minds! Ontario Coptic Youth Convention organizers are seeking YOU to Submit an original picture that represents the theme.
What exactly do I have to do?
The Ontario Coptic Youth Convention Committee is seeking entries from youth who are interested in submitting a photograph or scanned artwork that captures the theme of “YOUTH CHALLENGES”
Verse: "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
What happens if my picture is chosen for OCYC 2014?
The Grand Prize Winner will:
- Receive one of the cash money prizes/gift certificates allocated for the top 3 submissions ($300, $200 & $100).
Evaluation Criteria
1. Originality
- the use of props
- picture shows creativity
2. Relation to the theme
- picture captures the theme
- phrase employs at least one of the following devices:
- word pun (or play on words)
- rhyme
- symbolism
- imagery
- wit/humour
3. Description
- Describe your picture and how you related it to the theme
Prizes
1st place: $300 gift certificate
2nd place: $200 gift certificate
3rd place: $100 gift certificate
Contest Rules
1. All proposals must be submitted to the OCYC Steering Committee by Sunday, July 20, 2014. Please submit your proposals in the drop box below by 4 pm.
2. All proposals must be authentic. NO plagiarized proposals will be accepted.
3. All proposals must include a description that must not exceed a paragraph.

Terms and Conditions:
All entries become property of OCYC and will not be displayed at the convention unless permission is given. By submitting an entry, the author relinquishes any right to the entry submitted. Entries will not be returned to their composers. The committee reserves the right the absolute right to reproduce any entry in any format. By submitting an entry, all composers are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms.
